Perennial medicinal plant of the family Rosaceae, which has powerful healing properties, is called galangal. Our ancestors never used anything just like that. They discovered its strengths and began to use it for its intended purpose. Kalgan root, which contains many tannins, has a tart taste and is able to oxidize in air, grows in Russia and Europe, China, Indonesia, Thailand.

The plant needs a temperate climate, it loves humid territory, so it is found in forest-steppes and steppes. It is often found in ravines, swamps, meadows and edges.
