Smoked Sliced Onion, 50 g
Smoked sliced onion is dried onion with a deep smoky aroma that instantly brings barbecue and campfire to mind. It combines the gentle sweetness of toasted onion with a soft smoky note, so even a simple dish — potatoes, scrambled eggs or a creamy soup — starts to taste as if it was cooked over coals.
It is the easiest way to add a "grilled" flavour without a grill and without liquid smoke. No peeling, no chopping, no stinging eyes, and it keeps for months. The 50 g pack is a handy size to try it and keep it within reach in the kitchen.

Recipe: smoky onion dip
200 g sour cream or thick yoghurt · 1.5 tbsp smoked onion · ½ tsp granulated garlic · a pinch of salt and black pepper · smoked paprika, optional
Mix everything in a bowl and chill for 30–60 minutes — the onion softens and releases its smoky aroma into the sauce. Serve with crisps, vegetable sticks, potato wedges, burgers or grilled meat.
Tip: grind the smoked onion in a coffee grinder to make a smoked onion powder — perfect for dry rubs and meat seasonings.
