Adyghe salt is a unique product that is prepared by mixing and grinding salt and garlic, adding various spices.
Due to this, Adyghe salt has a rich and spicy smell and taste. Salt is not simply mixed with garlic to impregnate the aroma, but very carefully ground to enrich it with vitamins.

The composition of the mixture: salt, ground paprika, ground coriander, coarsely ground black pepper, ground red pepper (chili).

Many people say that Adyghe salt prolongs life. But it really has a lot of nutrients.

Useful properties and harms of Adyghe salt

  • This wonderful spice contains garlic, which means that it has preventive properties and is useful for colds. In addition, it strengthens the immune system.
  • Thanks to garlic in the composition of the Adyghe salt has anti-inflammatory and antiparasitic properties.
  • Dill allows spices to remove toxins, toxins and other harmful substances from the body.
  • Parsley contains vitamin C, which is very useful for the body.
  • Insanely useful spice - chaman (fenugreek), which is part of the salt, helps with diabetes, and is able to fight cancer cells.

What is Adyghe salt used for?

This spice is universal and suitable for many dishes. It is added to vegetables, meat, fish, seafood, salads. Sauces are prepared on the basis of Adyghe salt, first courses and bakery products are salted with it.

How to make Adygea salt yourself?

Adygean salt is easier to prepare at home in the kitchen. This requires the simplest and most readily available products.
We will prepare salt according to several recipes.

For recipe №1 we need:

  • 1 kilogram of garlic
  • 2 kilograms of salt

Peel the garlic, mix it with salt and mash until smooth. Then put everything in a dry and glass jar and put away in a dark place.

For recipe №2 we need:

  • salt - 0.5 kilograms
  • garlic - a couple of heads
  • spices: coriander, cilantro, dill and parsley, basil, marjoram, savory, ground paprika, ground black pepper, ground chili. One teaspoon will be enough.


Chop garlic, mix with salt and spices. All this is well ground in a mortar. Done! Store salt in a jar with a tightly closed lid and in a dry place.

For recipe №3 we need:

  • 1 kilogram of salt
  • a couple of heads of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of spices: a mixture of spices hops-suneli, dried dill, dried parsley, black pepper, sweet paprika, cilantro.

Peel a garlic clove, grate it, add salt and grind until smooth. Add spices and grind well again. Pour into a dry jar, with a tight lid and you're done!

In addition to the recipes of the salt itself, there is one great recipe for pickles for the winter with Adyghe salt. It is not difficult to make them. We need:

  • cucumbers - 1.5 kg
  • garlic - 2 pcs
  • Adyghe salt - 2 tablespoons
  • dill - a bunch
  • black pepper peas - 10 pieces
  • honey - a couple of teaspoons

Method of cooking:

  • Thoroughly wash cucumbers, dill, peel garlic.
  • In a large 3-liter jar put on the bottom: a little fresh dill, peppercorns and a clove of garlic. To the middle of the jars put the cucumbers. In the middle of the jars put a little more dill and cucumbers again. On top add garlic, dill, honey and cover with Adygea salt.
  • Close the jar with a lid and put in a warm place for several days. Once a day we turn over the jar.

In two days ready salted cucumbers can be eaten! Bon appetit!
